Dear fellow students!
Writing this profession essay, I found so much inspiration in all the great material one can find here.
My research question was greatly influenced by Pauline Gibbons and her task based teaching approach. I found it very interesting to combine TBLT and Communicative Language Teaching. This approach allowed me to scaffold the students in many different ways and present the topic “Farm Animals” in a variety of different ways, which in turn helped me potentially reach more students.
My research question was:
“How can I scaffold communicative tasks in a 1st grade and evaluate their language development?”
I focused mainly on teaching the students to recognize the different animals through song and visual tasks.
